Mill Creek Restoration Project
An overview of the Department of Public Works project to restore the Mill Creek watershed is available here: Overview - Mill Creek Restoration. According to this letter of May 3rd, 2021, restoration of the Mill Creek stream channel and associated outfalls located between College Parkway and Jones Station Road, including the reach below Jones Station Road, will begin this month. 2 July, 2021 Update: The Restoration Project is currently under construction for the Main Stem (near Jones Station Road) and those activities are anticipated to continue for the next several months and throughout the fall.
ReplyDeleteThe West Tributary restoration is currently still in design, and the Department of Public Works will begin the associated permitting process in the upcoming months. Once that design is revised, Public Works will reach out to our community to go over the project extents and project specifics/schedule. They anticipate having the permits completed in or around September 2021, with construction beginning during summer/fall 2022, as previously programmed. Questions on the project may be addressed to:
